Billabong Wins 3 SIMA Awards

Last week, more than 500 attendees from surf companies and specialty retail shops were in attendance at The Observatory in Southern California for the 15th Annual SIMA (Surf Industry Manufacturers Association) Awards.

The awards ceremony's goal is to identify surf’s most influential companies and products, and recognize their efforts to advance and grow the industry over the past year. In total, 116 nominees representing 2018’s best from the surf industry were honored, celebrating their outstanding innovations and contributions to the world of surfing.

Billabong emerged victorious, and together with founder Gordon Merchant took to the stage to receive three awards on the Men's side of things:

- Men's Boardshort Brand of the Year

- Men's Marketing Campaign of the Year ("Life's Better in Boardshorts")

- Environmental Product of the Year (Billabong Recycler Boardshorts)
